지진을 이겨내는 우리 교회 건축

한국 및 미국내에 계신 샬롯츠빌 한인교회 가족 여러분께:

하나님의 은혜와 평안이 함께 하시길 기원합니다.

이미 오늘 뉴스를 통하여 보도된 것 처럼 워싱턴 D.C.를 비롯하여 미국 동부지역 일대에서 오후 2시경 규모 5.8의 지진이 발생했습니다. 오늘 지진의 중심 즉 Epicenter는 샬롯츠빌에서 불과 약 20 마일 떨어진 작은 타운 Mineral이라고 밝혀졌습니다.

오늘 지진 발생 후 현재 건축중인 우리교회 신축 건물/구조등을 상세히 점검한 결과 아무 피해가 없음을 확인했습니다. 건물 내부와 외부에 산재해있는 큰 유리문 및 창문, 본당 천정, 회벽등에 금이 간 곳이 없고 아무런 손상이 없습니다. 할렐루야!!!

흔들리지않는 반석위에 우리교회를 지어주시고 큰 지진으로 부터도 안전하게 지켜주시는 고마우신 하나님께 감사드리며 찬양합니다.

Segars Engineering has heard a number of reports of damage due to yesterday's earthquake, and we have already been witness to significant damage to one of our client's facilities. While it appears that virtually all well built structures have held up nicely, there have been reports of cracked walls and foundations, as well as collapsed chimneys throughout the state. Though the former are to be of concern, the latter (chimneys) requires your immediate attention. Most Virginia buildings have never experienced the shock of an earthquake like we just had.......

오늘 Albemarle County는 우리교회가 신청한 Site Plan 수정안 전체를 최종허가 한다고 통보해왔습니다! (아래에 Copy된 County의 담당자 Ellie Ray씨의 서신을 참고하시기 바랍니다). 할렐루야!!

For Minor amendments we don’t usually put together a formal approval letter. I modified my last round of comments to say essentially ‘all comments addressed, approval granted’ and have attached that. As luck would have it, I have four clean copies of the plan here I can sign….so I will sign the copies and leave one for you at the front desk sometime this afternoon.

Site Plan 수정안이 부분적인 허가를 받았습니다.

지난 금요일(8/5) Albemarle County는 우리교회가 신청한 Minor Site Plan Amendment의 첫 부분인 Water Protection 규정과 관련된 항목들을 공식적으로 허가했습니다. 할렐루야!!!

Site Plan 수정안의 남은 부분도 Review가 순조롭게 진행되고 있는 중 입니다: 8월 2일 현재 4명으로 구성된 담당부서 책임자들 중 3명이 검토를 끝내고 수정안에 동의했습니다.

특별히 현재 미국 정부가 겪고있는 재정적자 상황과 신용등급 하락등으로 인한 경제적 어려움이 Virginia 주 정부의 금년 예산 책정과 재정에 큰 변동을 일으키지 않도록 하나님께 기도드립시다.
